Broadening your horizons means stepping into unfamiliar places and experiencing things
that you might not otherwise have experienced. Travelling to Japan is a great place to
broaden your horizons for many reasons. If you are someone who has only experienced
food from your own country Japan has numerous different food options that will most
certainly challenge your idea of what is delicious.
Let’s take seafood for example. You might not love seafood but if you let yourself try
seafood from Japan you will immediately see how fresh it is. The combinations that exist
with seafood are limitless. Your horizon will be broadened by eating foods you’ve never
tased before.
Karaoke is another activity that is super popular in Japan but maybe a bit intimidating for
someone from another country. Singing in front of others takes courage. The Karaoke
experience in Japan is different. Instead of singing in front of people you don’t know there
are individual rooms in Japan where you only sing in front of family and friends. A little beer
and some food and you’ll be singing all night long. Karaoke is a great example of how you
can broaden your horizons by traveling in Japan.
